【明報專訊】想近距離接觸耀目光芒？奧運火炬在歐洲遇上示威，由警察重重保護，相信到了香港，行人亦難以近距離接觸。不過，市民也有另一選擇：由46支LED光柱組成的大型互動媒體藝術品Volume剛從倫敦抵港，將於尖沙嘴星光大道展出。觀眾穿梭於光柱間，光柱就會產生互動，不單顏色會變化，更會刺激光柱奏出英國電子組合Massive Attack的音樂。

首次倫敦以外地方展出

Volume是倫敦藝術團隊United Visual Artists（UVA）06年的作品，當時他們應倫敦Victoria and Albert Museum和Playstation的邀請而創作。UVA的始創人之一、技術總監Chris Bird說，Volume從未在英國以外的地方展出，「知道Volume可以在香港海旁展出，我們都覺得很興奮，因為它可融合在兩岸的夜景之中」。

Volume由46支LED光柱組成，排列在132平方米的台階上。光柱能感應身體挪動，從而產生燈光變化。當觀眾靠近，光柱又會發出不同的聲音；若觀眾超過某個數目，Volume甚至會播放由英國電子組合Massive Attack專為它創作的樂曲。

Chris說，Volume首次在倫敦展出時，已相當受觀眾歡迎，尤其是小朋友，「小朋友不像成人，他們會毫不猶疑地抱覑這些光柱，甚至會親吻它們。我有個同事的兒子患有自閉症，他甚至不願離去。有缺陷的孩子都覺得與這些光柱很親近」。也有不少觀眾跟Chris說，站在光柱前能感受到宗教式的體驗。對此，他表示﹕「我也希望Volume能激起觀眾強烈的情緒，就像宗教一樣。」
